Cohorst
& Associates was formed in 1982 with the acquisition of the engineering
records of Grove & Company, Consulting Engineers and surveyors. Grove & Co.,
previously Paden and Company, had been serving the community since the late
1950’s.
A few years later Cohorst & Associates
purchased the surveying records of Grove & Company. Steve and Ralph Balaun, a
registered architect, moved into the office at 1102 Broadway and in 1995
Robert Peschel joined the team as a Licensed Land Surveyor, engineering
technician and draftsman.
In 2001, Cohorst and Associates
incorporated into Cohorst Engineering & Surveying Inc. and W. Charles Weickert,
Joseph Peschel and Don Butler joined the technical team. In 2003 Clint
Friedrichs joined the organization as a surveying technician and AutoCAD
draftsman. In 2004 Anthony Duever graduated from the University of Kansas
with a Civil Engineering degree and joined the full time staff.
